Old world with a screw cap? You bet I’m buying this for the novelty alone. Thankfully, the liquid inside isn’t half bad either. Fruit comes from the Saint-Savin vineyard, planted on stony limestone scree and marl, with Savagnin from En Bois d’Arnaux on classic Jura marl soils. 2021 was a tough year in the region, but this blend proves that great things can come from struggle. Helped along by a casual three whole years in large-format barrels, topped up as and when. Seriously white-fruited and nutty, with a touch of roundness but plenty of verve as per the house style. 2 bottles only... ABV: 12%
