Allante & Boulanger, Amalgamé 2023 - Mystery Pack
From their plot Vigne au Daim in Gizia, taken over from a local elder in 2011. They’ve kept traditions alive by continuing to co-plant many different varieties here. This is roughly 35% Petit Béclan, 25% Gamay, 20% Poulsard, 10% Trousseau and 10% Pinot Noir. Jura wine of old. Petit Béclan is practically extinct, and here it brings a brooding rusticity with its small, tight bunches and thick skins. This, as per all their reds, is fully destemmed, then co-fermented and aged in 300L barrels for 12 months. Their grippiest and most structured red, with ripe blackberry fruit, but still with their mind-staining acid lines.
The fairest way to share the A&B love.
How to stop our tiny allocation of Allante & Boulanger disappearing into the pockets of collectors who'll buy one bottle and then disappear into the sunset? How to sell these incredibly hard-to-get wines equitably and to customers who've supported Parched since it was being run out of a Big Yellow Storage unit? Like this!
You'll get one bottle of Allante & Boulanger plus a mystery bottle handpicked by us. So you get your rare wine, yay, you get to support your friendly neighbourhood wine shop, yay, and maybe even discover a new fave producer. Yay. Everybody wins. Much better than jacking the price and these ending up in the hands of hoarders, IMO.
