Amorotti, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo 2022
Place: Abruzzo, Italy
Grape: Montepulciano
Vibe: Delicious
Did I really need to order more rosé as we head into winter? Well… Once I realised we had no Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo on the shelves, the answer was obviously yes.
It’s no secret that this region produces some of the world’s greatest pink-hued wines. Think Emidio Pepe (sadly, it rarely leaves Italy) and Valentini (sadly, it’ll cost you an arm and a leg). This is right up there, if not better than, those esteemed bottles. And the best part is you'll walk away with some change!
Sour cherry, clementine, a little spice. There’s real texture here, a bit of grip, and a mouthwatering acidity that keeps you coming back. One heck of a wine. A future classic. Absolutely something you can drink all year round ABV: 12.5%
