Claire and Florent have been growing grapes for atleast twenty years, however for years these wines where almost impossible to find. For years Florent helped other vignerons bottle without additives, work that led him to influential figures like Mark Angeli, who instilled a passion for sustainable agriculture.

Together the couple farm five hectares spread across tiny parcels on either bank of the Vienne, just west of Chinon. Vines averaging fifty years old on complex soils of clay, limestone, and silex. Mostly Cabernet Franc, plus a little over half a hectare of Chenin Blanc that is one of the most sought after bottles of Chenin money can buy.

Everything done organically and by hand, nature left to find its own harmony between the rows. The wines are made in an old cellar dug into the tuffeau, with long gentle infusions and proper elevage in old casks, demijohns, and earthenware jars.
