Trediberri got its name quite literally. Three friends ‘Tre’ and a vineyard in Berri: hence “Trediberri” - simple! This uncomplicated approach is reflective of how they do things here in Barolo. Nicola, his father Federico, and their friend Vladimiro acquired 5 hectares back in 2005 with the aim to make the kind of wines they like to drink. In their own words, ‘we love to drink wine, therefore the greatest recognition for us is a bottle that is quickly finished’. They don’t believe easy-drinking wines have to be simple, they can and should be anything but! Far from dogmatic in their approach in the cellar they often use cement or steel but won’t shy away from oak if they need it. The aim of the game here is balanced, drinkable wines. Not fixed by a philosophy or rules they craft wines that have striking immediacy which is a rarity in this part of the world.
