Domaine Mayard, Blanc 2025

Place: Rhône, France

Grape: Grenache Blanc + Clairette 

Vibe: Modern 

As per the Mayard way, we have concentration without heaviness. The fruit is suitably southern, stone-fruited, almost honeyed and plenty of floral stuff. It smells like it's going to be all glossy but this just glides on the palate. How these guys manage to make wines full of vitality this far south is a bit of a mystery to me. Happy for it to stay that way as long as they keep on knocking it out the park. Sadly just a 3 bottle allocation. ABV: 14%
