Fabio Gea, Cul Otte 2022
Place: Piedmont, Italy
Grape: Nebbiolo
Vibe: Emotional
What the hell? This blew me away. Nebbiolo that drinks like stupidly good Pinot... A total delight, mind you. The fruit comes from younger vineyards in La Morra and Mango, vineyards that could technically make this Barbaresco. Not that Fabio cares. This is more experimental, and all the better for it. Fermented and aged in homemade porcelain and stoneware vessels, this is about as pure and carefree an expression of the grape as you’re likely to find. Ethereal and perfumed, it almost floats across the palate. ABV:13.5%
