Probably shouldn't be buying Rosato as summer draws to a close, but after tasting this I couldn't resist. This is such a great example of why pink wine doesn't need to be watery and thin. There's complexity without losing its quite frankly astonishingly high levels of refreshment. Sherbety, with a blood orange-like acidity before all the herbal stuff, then watermelon both flesh and rind. The finish is smoky and salty too. A pitch perfect wine, and one that you can happily drink all year round. 11.5%
