Intellego are part of the new school of young Swartland winemakers who are fighting back against the traditional and outdated wine culture of South Africa. They both buy organically certified fruit and are also trying to establish their own vines in the arid desert-like Swartland. In the cellar, they adopt a natural philosophy - no added yeasts, light extractions, and no new oak in sight. This results in wines with freshness and an immediate drinkability. Whilst the labels are fun and joyful, the serious hard work that's gone into these wines is not to be underestimated.
