Jean-Yves Péron was born in Savoie but trained in Bordeaux and worked across a handful of vineyards in France before returning home. He works just 1.5 hectares of tiny parcels of local varieties and they are all vinified separately. All the wines, both red and whites, are fermented as whole bunches for varying amounts of time. In 2011 he received his negociant license and started buying fruit, not only in Savoie, but also across the Alps in neighboring Italy. Not one to miss.
