Formerly an engineer, in the early ‘80s Marc Ollivier relocated to the country in search of a slower pace of life. His family owned vineyards in Muscadet-Sèvre et Maine, but no-one was making wines from them. Enter Marc! He released his first vintage in 1985 and continued to grow and experiment over the years – pleased with the results of his wines fermented using ambient yeast and bottled with minimal SO2, Marc began transitioning all his vineyards to organic, and continued along the low-intervention path. These days, his Muscadets are considered benchmark wines in the region.
