Minouche was still in barrel at the time of the tragic passing of Julie. Uncertain about the future of the estate, the wine remained untouched until the following July, before being bottled by her longtime right-hand man, Brice Grizonne. Brice has since secured a long lease on Julie’s En Remont parcel in Fleurie and, with the family’s blessing, will continue to make the wines in the same chai and cellar at her home in Romanèche. 

This Minouche bottling comes from fruit grown in Chadounet’s vineyards in Fleurie, mostly from the lieu-dit La Madonne. Reflecting the vintage, this is a darker, more brooding expression that will offer plenty of enjoyment as we move into the autumn months. And as with all of Julie’s wines, it will age with grace. ABV:14.5%
