Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz sits on a limestone ridge overlooking the Vistula River in southeastern Poland, near the village of Dobre, just upstream from the historic town of Kazimierz Dolny. The estate covers 11 hectares of south-west-facing slopes at 200m above sea level, with an 80m elevation gradient and proximity to the river and a reserve of xerothermic meadows helping to moderate Poland's continental climate and extend the growing season.

Planted between 2017 and 2019, the vineyard is home to Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir (including the early-ripening Frühburgunder) and Blaufränkisch, with a small amount of hybrid varieties for good measure. The soils are a complex mix of limestone-rich clay, loess and sandy subsoils.

From the start, the project has been rooted in sustainability and low intervention. In 2024 the vineyard achieved full organic certification. All fruit is hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard by a small team under the direct supervision of Kamil and his wife Ania.

In the cellar, things are minimalist but precise. Indigenous yeasts, spontaneous fermentations, and ageing on fine lees for up to 10 months. Vessels are a mix of stainless steel, seasoned oak and custom-made concrete eggs, the first of their kind in Poland. The wines are expressive, structured and elegant, and since their debut in 2019 Kamil has quickly established himself as the benchmark for quality Polish wine.
