Ok, you've got me. Yes, Côt is actually Malbec. Fear not, this is actually good! Very good. It's not overworked, over-extracted or over the top. You see in the Loire freshness is the name of the game. They managed to show the grape at its most vibrant. Juicy blackberry fruit, smooth tannin, bright acidity. There is a whole lot to like here. Straight into my midweek rotation. ABV: 13%
