Sophie Evans, Pinot Pinot 2023

Vibe: Energetic 

Whilst preferring to work with her own fruit, small yields can make it hard to say no when a bit of exceptional fruit comes your way. Especially when the quality’s this good. Two parts Gris, one part Noir. De-stemmed with a short maceration before heading to stainless. This Pinot clone differs from Sophie’s; its looser bunches give a more easygoing, joyfully fruited expression. The ultimate blouge. Refreshment in spades, with fine detail running throughout. Without a doubt, some of my favourite wines from the UK, if not the world. ABV: 10%
