Theo Dancer, 'Roc Breia' Macon Villages 2024

Place: Burgundy, France

Grape: Chardonnay

Vibe: Smokin'

Coming from solid Chardo stock, Theo is venturing a touch further south for his own label gear in the Maconnais. From a challenging but cool vintage, I've really liked how the best producers have handled the year. Especially here, where things are all reductive and racy, opening up to reveal plenty of punchy dry extract. This feels way more in line with Burgs up north, with its linear and lean frame. Drinking like a dream right out the gate but things will only go up from here. Nicely priced for you all too. ABV: 12.5%
