Werlitsch, Ex-Vero I 2021

Ex Vero is one of the most beautiful vineyards I’ve had the pleasure to lay my eyes on. A steep, verdant hillside nestled between Edwald at the bottom and Andreas, his brother, Tscheppe’s house at the top. The energy here is palpable and it reverberates in the bottles too. Ex Vero 1 sits at the base of the hill on shallower soil. Always a blend, always with that signature sesame reduction. Nothing like it. 

This orginally was bottled as part of their S range, however a few barrels where kept back to slowly continue their ferments. Here we are! Things finally got bone dry and bottled, 4 years later and worth the wait. The extended elevage rendering Werlitsch at it's most mineral and intense. Rares.
