WongAmat, Dalsheim Bürgel 2024
Place: Rheinhessen, Germany
Grape: Pinot Noir
Vibe: Classic, New Wave
This new wave of German winemakers must have the neighbours a little scared. Burgundy comparisons obviously come to mind, but this is more than that.
A recognised Grand Cru vineyard site, characterised by limestone and clay soils. Also facing east, and this makes it one of the coolest vineyard sites in the Wonnegau region. Adjacent to one of Keller's Grand Crus (Jan met Felix Keller while working at Emrich-Schönleber, and the duo became good friends). Pedigree. ABV:11.5%
